Why this band didn't make it much much bigger is a great mystery to me still. They were contemporary, current, original, and stood out from almost everything else that was going on - at least in the UK at the time. Fantastic lyrics, voice & music, and the way the guitars & keyboards complemented/played to each other was classic and spot-on. I suppose I will die without ever knowing the answer. Harumph.

This reminds me so much of Everything Must Go (Manic Street Preachers), even the video! :)

they were unfortunate to miss the britpop wave and 60s revival by about 3 years. they would have cleaned up and been one of the best of the crop if they'd caught that particular moment.right band, wrong time.

I loved it back in the 80's and it still sounds fantastic.

Brilliant track from a brilliant band. Discovered them when I had outlived west coast stuff of my youth, but then heard their brand of new west coast stuff. Very much of their (and my) time, but still relevant today.
