For me, this is the ONLY version of this song. But then, I prize this "Golden Age" of country music above all others. The backing is pure and uncomplicated, the singing is open and honest, without the drawn-out histrionics that Don himself and others seemed to feel the song needed later on. Let a great song just speak for itself...that's what this version does. Perfect!

Good Song Sounds A lot like Farons Version,personally I like Dons later version better than this one,even tho I very much like Both ,But the 1973 version just has more feeling,I also love Faron,s early version
