I really enjoy this album. This song rings true for me. I nearly killed myself drink driving down a dirt road when working on a farm. Lucky to be walking, talking & breathing. No one else was with me & it was a quiet road, still what if? I could've left my son fatherless, killed someone if another vehicle had've been coming the other way.... I still drink to this day but I'll never drive again

Went to a Dream Theatre concert as my first concert last night, probably the best thing i've ever experienced.

It is so funny that while Petrucci, Myung, Rudess, Labrie and even Portnoy himself think Mangini is part of a whole different class of drummers; random amateurs talk shit about Mangini. I wonder how many of them can even count along on Mangini's solos? Portnoy is probably one of the greatest drummers who ever lived - but so is Mangini.

A nightmare to remember reminds me of a nightmare that I can't remember.

anyone else notice that the sky behind the opening door on the album cover looks like the sky on the ADToE cover, which is also the next album after this?

According to Petrucci this song is about a terrifying car accident that his family suffered where his dad was actually badly injured.

The beginning sounds like a black metal song or death metal song and you think it's going to be super heavy. It is decently heavy and quite an epic. But with different sounding vocals would take on a heavier overall sound.

This was the first DT album I bought. The only songs I'd heard by them before were Strange Deja Vu and As I Am, and I liked them, so I thought, why not? I remember listening to it start to finish and not being able to believe the pure ungodly amount of talent and emotion that came out of it, or how it could start with such a monumental metal explosion and end with a major-scale wonder and somehow still make sense. God bless this album, and god bless DT.

It seems as though Portnoy injected his calves with steroids for this song
