Frank Sinatra - Ave Maria download song

This is new to me .i never knew that Frank sang this song. He was one of the best.

He actually was a practicing Catholic

Frank Sinatra has a beautiful, amazing voice. I am a heavy metal girl, but when I hear Frank's voice...I stop in my tracks. I wish I had been able to see him perform live.

pronouncing it "gratia" as he does is correct for latin, the language of Ave Maria.

This is so beautiful. I wish I had heard him sing this before. Very moving.

This song brought a tear to my eye!

His voice is so calming in this song. I use it to help me calm down when I'm angry or sad.

The song was not recorded in a studio for release, it's a song he sang for broadcast on the radio for his "The Frank Sinatra Show" on 28 March 1945 with the US Military WAVES Chorus and arranged by Axel Stordahl.

I didn't know he sang this. This is actually a good version. I'm pleasantly surprised.

I've been a Sinatra fan since time immemorial, but I never knew 'til now, that he had ever recorded this beautiful song. I am curious to know when he recorded this and atwhat age.As usual, he sang it with perfection.

I've been singing Sinatra for 3 years now, not a tribute act, but trying my best. This is way different, beautiful, and heartfelt and opened up part of his voice I cannot remember he ever had. Frank I take my hat off to you, you really were a surprise even after all these years....... As for comments on his pronunciation, seriously? Get a life.

His Latin is spot on. This is how we were taught to sing the words in choir at St. Edward's School in Philadelphia .Vivat Jesus...(Jesus Lives).

I believe this was sung live in front of the troops by a very young Frankie. Never much of a Sinatra fan but this performance is breathtaking.

My Grammy was a lifelong Frank Sinatra fan. She had danced to his music as a teenager, and had all of his records, including many duplicates. She died around Christmas, which had always been her favorite time of year and which I will forever associate with her because around Christmas she always took the family to brunch at the Brown Palace in Denver. The church told us they didn’t allow popular music during memorial services, as my dad had requested to the priest that Frank play, but it seemed like that was not allowed. Then on the day of the service, as people were shuffling into the pews, this song started playing. The priest had found a Frank Sinatra song appropriate for a church and made a CD the night before so Ol’ Blue Eyes could honor my grandmother as she was laid to rest. Everyone was bawling, and it was beautiful.

Frank Sinatra's version gives me full body goosebumps and chills. Absolute perfection!
