And the only law is right, back in the saddle again
On the lowly gypsum weed, back in the saddle again, totin my old .44
Out where a friend is a friend, where you sleep out every night
on the lowly gypsum weed
On the lowly gypsum weed, where you sleep out every night, where the longhorn cattle feed
Whoopi-ty-aye-yay, i m back in the saddle again, i m back in the saddle again
back in the saddle again
Back in the saddle again, back in the saddle again, back in the saddle again
Back in the saddle again, where the longhorn cattle feed, back in the saddle again
whoopi-ty-aye-oh
Back in the saddle again, on the lowly gypsum weed
back in the saddle again
and the only law is right
I m back in the saddle again, and the only law is right, back in the saddle again
out where a friend is a friend
Back in the saddle again, back in the saddle again
whoopi-ty-aye-yay
i m back in the saddle again
Back in the saddle again, rockin to and fro
Whoopi-ty-aye-oh, whoopi-ty-aye-yay, on the lowly gypsum weed
ridin the range once more
On the lowly gypsum weed, on the lowly gypsum weed
and the only law is right
On the lowly gypsum weed, ridin the range once more Gene, rockin to and fro
One of the ships was stationed on had a Skipper with a great sense of humor. As we pulled into Norfolk after a six month deployment. He had this song played of the ship's loudspeaker system. All the crew (and most of the wives and girlfriends on the pier) got a kick out of it. Back then the Navy had a sense of humor.
Over 40 years ago in Hillsdale, New York was a bar called the Mink Farm. We'd drink and play pool and I would go over to the juke box and a lady at the bar would say (not unkindly,) "You're not going to play that hippie music, are you?" Yes, i had long hair (wish I had it now) and I said, "Please rise for the national anthem." And then I would play this song. Loved it then, love it now. Damn I miss western movies!
Anyone else know this song from the scene in Sleepless in Seattle where Tom Hanks starts calling up women from his little black book following the death of his wife?
