My fiancé is from Liverpool. He came here for three months and when we took him back to the airport, this song played as he was going through security. It makes me both happy and sad, and I'm so glad I get to marry him in a month.
i reckon this guys voice could charm anything ..im a 74 years old female who caught the ferry across the mersy in the 60s ,,,what an era never to be repeated lol xx
I am 63 and it is great to hear from young people who like the oldies. It was a more gentle time than today. It is sad these youngens can not go back in time and enjoy those days.
MY God The 60's were rough in the states, with all the death and destruction, but somehow, the brits gave us these beautiful sounds, which carried into the 70's, thanks to the people of Britain, for your music and friendship!...long may the union Jack Wave!
I love the lyric " people around ever corner they seem to smile and say we don't care what your name is boy we will never turn you away" If all people could all live that way today
This is, hands down, one of the best pop songs to come out of the British Invasion. Meticulously produced with a heartfelt vocal by Gerry Marsden. Exquisite production by Sir George Martin.
