This song enchanted me from the first time I heard it as a child in the 1950s. It is part of the soundtrack of my life. Giorgio Tozzi's version is brilliant and perfect--full, rich, sensual. Such a treasure. Nobody does it better.
After singing at a masterclass for your father, he taught me voice lessons in his Scottsdale home for an entire year without accepting payment for his services. He was a wonderful singer, artist, teacher, friend and mentor. There are many others with similar stories whom your father mentored. Can't say enough about his loving soul. He is sorely missed! Thank you for sharing this recording! It is deeply moving!
Gorgeous. I thought it was Ezio Pinzo who dubbed Rossano’s voice. I wonder how he felt seeing Rossano sing in his.voice., especially since he is handsome and could have played it.
Your dad was a magnificent singer this is my favorite version of this song, what a voice must have been super having this man as your dad could listen to him all day long, all week long
what a VOICE!!! when I was in my teens, singing in local productions, I tried very hard to form my voice to sound as much like Mr Tozzi and Ezio Pinza.. came mighty close too alot of the time... now that I'm in my early 50s, I can still do it, but, it take a HELL of a lot longer LOL! Thank you for posting this, sure brought back some awesome memories!
