I was never much of a Deadhead as a teenager, nor was I remotely part of that "scene," but for some crazy reason they've grown on my quite a bit over the years.
this comment is probably gonna get lost but this song makes me feel different.. This was a time where I fell in love for the first time, everything was great and he showed me this song and I would play this for days. I can definitely say that it was hard to not listen this song because it gives so many happy moments in life after the break-up. I still care very much about him but you know life goes on.
I first discovered this song in a bar in 2001. Someone put it on the jukebox and I was completely struck by its unique beauty. Been a deadhead ever since.
What I'm missing in modern music: 3 and 4 part harmonies. It's why I love Crosby, Stills & Nash so much, and the Beatles. When did that go out of style?
That was the first song I have ever heard, my dad sang it to me when I was just a couple hours old bc I cried and he wanted to calm me down. Later he sang it when I couldn't sleep and sometimes he still does. I really love this song
