Wow...This is the 1st time I have heard this since I was in High School, and I'm 83 now....

I loved this song as a kid. My mom would sing it while changing diapers on the youngest if us six kids. Then when I married a Hungarian I found out "po-po" is Hungarian for the backside!

Because of this song, my first stuffed animal was named Po Po. Many, many years ago. Thank you so much for posting this song!

My mother tells of putting me to sleep when I was a baby by "patting me on the Po Po" One of those embarrassing things mom's like to tell. Finally I know where she got the expression!

My dad bought this on a 78 RPM record back in 1954 or 1955, I haven't thought of this song for over 30 years. What a romp down memory lane. Makes me miss Dad, even though he's been deceased 20 years. Thanks for posting.

For some reason I always thought the lyrics were "Peanut, pat him on the popo." I get it now. It's a father's song about his baby son. It only took 50 years to figure it out. barrys1100
