So its pretty much an Overture? Cool. You can't start a prog album without an overture. You just can't!

This is called flashback, and it's very common in progressive rock/metal in general ^^

Some of the slightly lesser known prog treasures are fantastic. Haken, Leprous, Van Der Graaf Generator, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Oblivion Sun. They are all great. The greater known prog groups like Opeth, Porcupine Tree, Cynic, and Dream Theater are fantastic as well. Opeth is probably my favorite, as cliche as that may be. Also, I hope Mikael Akerfeldt and Steve Wilson get back together for a second project like Storm Corrosion.

Now this is very weird. My current favourite band is Leprous and... I'm hearing one of their songs in here! If you know the song Mb. Indifferentia, the melody at 3:19 seems to mirror almost exactly the part of Mb. where the Leprous singer goes "Look the other way to see....". Well, I hear similarities anyway :D
