Saturday morning and it’s growing light
I look out my window and remember the night
The story is starting or the story ends
And I feel like I need you again
Time used to mose softly when I was at home
It went on without me, and left me alone
Now it’s sits at my shoulder and claws at my hand
And I feel like I need you again
A song needs a reason and rhyme
My love needs a little more time
Now I recall September, leaves turned brown
Remember October, left leaves on the ground
And here comes December like an elderly fan
And I feel like I need you again
A song needs a reason and rhyme
My love needs a little more time
Well, I noticed a few lyrical fixes I could help with.
1.) "It went on without me and left me alone"
2.) "Now it sits in my shoulder and claws at my pen"
3.) "A song needs a reason and rhyme"
4.) And here comes December like an elderly friend"
That should make all of the lyrical uncertainties clear, and thanks for posting some of the best, and most underrated music out there (Harry's, of course). =)
What a beautiful song, What an amazing man he was. And to tinydancer, and friends you guys did a great job. In the third verse, the third line goes; It went on without me, and you have; To went on without me. For years I used to think that in Tangled Up Puppet, I was spinning round in Oz. Then Blondie here got the lyrics, now I spin round in knots Hell it even makes more sense. How funny.
