Listened to this song when I was 7 yrs old and I took the song too literally not understanding what symbolism was yet so I would actually catch butterflies and rip the wings off monarch butterflies. I was then know as the weird girl who killed butterflies and my response would be it’s from one of my favorite bands!

it's funny, right when I started liking this band, they stopped being a band.

I’m 17, I came back to this song mainly because my mom used it as a lullaby when I was younger and she’d play it in the car radio whenever we drove around. Those were the days, now I have no free time and we both work. My mother was/is my best friend.
