This album got me into Jazz 13 years ago. Still gives me chills when I listen to these swinging cats. Joe and Woody are such a dynamic duo! And Horace's compositions (and Joe's) are so damn funky!!!

If this tune may sound a little "campy" for some "modern" ears, it is because the mediocre imitations in comedy movies and such. It's not forbidden to good "legit" jazz to be funny and danceable. Five amazing musicians making your feet to move, and your heart to smile, only with their playing, not the over-produced pile of sh t of nowadays

I guess that some people are born without ears It shows that 12 of them turned to this song. This is one of Silver's best. On January 6th in 2004, I called his office in Los Angeles, and he was there and picked up the phone. We talked for ten minutes, according to my phone bill. Just a real nice guy. I was just a fan, and he appreciated it.
