I like change, as long as the original elements that I started loving the band for in the first place are still present. It's nice to see some of that being added around halfway through the song and at the very end. Hopefully there's more of it to come.

This is great stuff. PEOPLE! stop expecting and wanting new music to sound just like the older stuff. The subtle vocal changes are cool as they are! The riffs are sick. You have to allow artists to grow and change and move with them. To want it to sound like older stuff is to expect that good feeling you got from before. But it will come again if you just go with it!

People is a pain in the ass. Some wouldn't like the album because they changed in nuances. Some wouldn't because is more of the same, but watered down and generic by now. Some others thumbs down because hasn't changed enough. Who is on reasonable grounds to release a paper that would be the guide to continuous improvement and thriving in the arts with no mistakes, flaws and weaknesses? Who's that who will prove how inhumane art is possible?
Well, I'm thankful that such magnificent band has played for 27 years , undergoing changes and what not, but has stayed along the spectrum of raw metal, which is what I like. Regardless I would prefer one album to the other, I am supporting these guys Labour and gut to walk this path and pursue such a hard and underestimated endeavour.
I know I'll find with time more and more to what they present this time. I'm glad it is still inquisition.

I just started listening to these guys and so far prefer the sound of his vocals around this time, it just seems like he really perfected it's nuance and tone, it sounds truly evil and inhuman. Not to say the early stuff wasn't good, it was and still is amazing. Anyways, glad to be getting into Inquisition!

that's quite literally how some of you sound. let them do things their own way. it sounds good, but if you're a black metal fanatic and can't stand to see a bit of change then go be a DSBM chick who complains that the music isn't obscure and depressing enough. this still sounds like Inquisition and is fantastic.
