Such a happy song. Great memories as a teenager in love with every pretty girl in town but always at a distance. The best would come though. My "Dawning" came later but not too late.

This is the original 1962 Jay & the Americans. Alas, this was not the A side and not a hit, It outshines SHE CRIED by orders of magnitude

this is the best side --- only better song by the boys is Cara Mia

This was sung, I believe, by Jay Traynor, the original Jay. David Blatt (Jay Black) was the lead on Cara Mia.

I echo the sentiments posted that this is a (much) better song than "She Cried". BTW, although JATA are my favourite group, I've never heard them in person and so I wonder: did either of the later Jays (esp Jay Black) ever sing this song or any of the earlier JATA hits?

This is  the reason that 45rpm's were worth collecting. In 1962, I just flipped the record over and heard this fantastic song. Through the years, this song should have had more exposure as an oldie. Great 2 sided record.
