First heard this song on the radio 20+ years ago, loved it! Bought the tape "Stolen Moments", loved EVERY song. Even my kids loved it! I bought every Hiatt tape I could find, but Stolen Moments is still my fave! This man deserved such more air play than he ever got. He's a true artist!!!!!
“Out there somewhere there is a love who will never dream of calling you too much. Who speaks, like you, in poetry and candlewax and stardust. Who runs outside on stormy nights to howl at the moon. Who collects bones and sings incantation and talks to the ancestors. And that lover, when you find him or her, will see you and know you – just as you are and just as you should be.
And they will say yes. Yes, you. I will go there with you. I have been waiting for this.”

Darling, Thank You for Loving me, Will
of all my favorite songwriters, and I have a lot of them, from Pete Townshend to Lennon and MacCartney to Dylan and Young and ...you get the picture....John Hiatt is right up there. So many people have recorded his songs that its hard to deny his influence on American music. He is simply one of the best singer/songwriters of all time.
