When you walk through a storm hold your head up high,
And don’t be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.
Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you’ll never walk alone,
You’ll never walk alone!
My school choir is singing this for our last song, and as a high school senior, it is heartbreaking that I won’t be able to sing this with my classmates for the last time before I graduate. To make it even worse, this is my choir teacher’s last year before he moves away to get a master’s degree in choral conducting, and he has been amazing during my time in the choir. I don’t think we’re even gonna have a chance to say goodbye to him thanks to this virus. Even so, I have hope that we’ll get through this quarantine, and that one day the classmates I’ll be leaving behind and I will reunite one day.
This song has deep personal meaning for me. My father was a Liverpool FC fan and his passion passed on to me. This song is their anthem and it is arguably the greatest fan song in the world of football. My dad sadly passed away this January and he got to hear Josh's version just weeks before he passed; a moment I will never remember. I never listened to it again until I saw Josh perform live in Dublin mere days ago (May 29th). It stirred up a lot of emotion, very beautifully performed. Josh has added a few valuable memories from this song and made it even more special to me.
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your
heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your
heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, through the wind
Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your
heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Never walk alone

To health care workers, doctors, nurses, EMTs, Paramedics and everyone out there in the front lines! We are with you and we thank you! You'll never walk alone!
God bless you all!!!
Walk out of this coronavirus. God has our backs. Gertrude Prinzi taught my sisters and I this song in fourth grade. Thank you Ms. Prinzi she was tough.
My son had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Jerry Lewis sung this song at the end of the MDA Telethon. My son passed away May 16th 2012. He never had to walk alone. This song makes me cry every time I hear it. Beautiful song.
Thank you for sharing!! "We will Never Walk Alone," Jesus will carry us all through the darkest times! After every storm there is a rainbow! The light will always shine deep in our souls, because The Holy Spirit is near! Take care and God bless our world!!!
What a beautiful song, for this storm of the covid19 virus. It will be gone soon, and we will all be out and about our lives again. God Bless all of us.
This was my Daddy's favorite song. He passed 42 yrs ago and this song still gets to me. Some days, more than others. Thank you for recording such an amazing song.
