This is such a blessing especially where it says ‘For my love is often cold’. Sometimes I find myself hardened to the truth, cold towards God and others and even myself. Thankfully I am out of that now.. but during those times I feel even more unworthy because of all that God has done for me. Praise God that He holds us fast, Praise the King who is also our keeper! What a great God we have

Which events can God hold his beloved people through? All of them. Death of a loved one, He is there, death of a marriage, He is there, a child gone a stray, He is there, finding your only child has mental illness, He is there, losing the job you depended on to make a living, He is there, struggling back to your feet, He is there, finding a cancer growing in your body, He is there, taking medical treatment that is more painful than the disease that is threating to kill you, He is there. Being cured, He is there, A second marriage, He is there. Helping to raise children that you did not father, He is there. I mention all these heart breaks and struggles for they are part of my story. Through all these, Jesus held my hand and still leads me today. When the time comes, I have no doubt that when my time here is gone, I will enter heaven and He will be there and I will praise Him forever, for He NEVER left me alone in my sorrow or in the great joy that He gives.
