Wow.. Reading the lyrics while listening to the song was a super powerful experience. Oh! Woah! Their cries are blown away with the wind How passive can we be before humanity is lost? Turning our backs on those who need love We must not rest while healing is needed Tear down the veil That bars your heart from feeling this Dedicate yourself Give your souls to compassion With open arms embrace this heart With open eyes behold the truth Embrace this life So little time is left We must be relentless In our pursuit of those in torment Tear down the veil (tear down the veil) That bars your heart from feeling this Dedicate yourself (dedicate yourself) Become the voice of compassion With open arms embrace this heart With open eyes behold the truth Embrace this life EEYAAAAAAHHH! Can you reject yourself? Can you feel their agony? In a world that feeds on disregard Heal the broken hearted

Love this song so much. Never gets old after the first day the album came out, still love it. With a demon currently inside of me, it is tough to rip open deep inside and have your heart overpower it. Some days, the dark is really strong. Hope one day, I can overcome it. Thank goodness for music, especially heavy metal.

in my opinion I think As Daylight Dies is Killswitch Engage's best album. it has just the right amount of melody and heavy, both catchy and brutal. not to mention Howard is at his best lyrically and vocally. too good, I can listen to this entire album front to back without getting bored. also in my opinion, Disarm the Descent is a close second. can't forget about Jesse.

2:53 - Howard misses the nail and hammers his finger instead.
