i always find myself coming back to this masterpiece of 20's jazz by the master. it is all perfect!! the ringing banjo the great kid ory, too many nuances to mention...the band goes wild!! (my other favourite is stomp off, lets go by erskine tate with louis..brilliant)

That Oliver solo is really "flying" above the rhythm. I don't know any modern trad. band capable of such a drive. A record like a musical explosion!

This still has the same intense effect on me as when I heard it in the sixties - really a timeless masterpiece.

Played on a decent system, this record is like a freight train rolling through your living room. I've seen it literally make people's jaws drop in astonishment.

Heard this particular rendition over 35 yrs ago, searching until now. I can't thank you enough!! One of the best you will ever hear.... STOMP OFF BOYS!
