It's about getting your life back together and the desire to redeem yourself to the loved ones whose relationships you've strained before they move on with their lives without you. Not everything has to be a damn love song people. And there's nothing in this song that implies it is. It could apply to family and friends and anybody in your life. There's more to life than just romantic relationships.

I know he wrote this about his alcohol addiction, but for me this song is about waiting for your soul-mate.  It is so painful to be alone, but they are out there somewhere feeling the same way too....wait for me....

There are certain songs meant for long drives and starry nights. Drinking with close friends instead of a club. Enjoying a fleeting moment of peace. Letting go of a loved one. I feel all these situations would warrant a vibe like this. And I'm a huge hip hop head. I don't venture too far off anymore but I'm glad I found this little song. If you are recovering from addiction, this song will touch your soul. It hurts to hear him say those words repeatedly, like he was convincing himself that "it's all better now" when he knows it's not.
