Leila ro bordan (They took Leila away)
Leila, Leila, Leila
They took Leila away
They took the dark eyed, tall Leila away
Beneath the tyranny of eyes and heart I cry,
For, all the eyes see, the heart stores up:
I'll fashin me a pointed sword of steel,
Put out mine eyes, and so set free my heart
Leila, Leila, Leila
They took Leila away
They took the dark eyed, tall Leila away
PS. "They took Leila away", really means they married her to someone else

I am An American, I love Iranian Music, not just this kind, all kinds of Iranian music, it is spiritual and mystic, it is something that is so unique and special, please Iran, keep making beautiful music, love from America, please come visit sometime! :)
Iranians when compared to their middle eastern neighbours are certainly alot more cultured and talented in music, art you name it. Even though the country isnt free or rich as say the gulf states are, iran still manages to give them a run for their money
Musical Language Is Universal. I Don't Know About The Iranian Language. But After Listening This Song I Just Fall In Love With This. I'm From Assam, India. Assam Is Also Rich In All Type Of Songs.
“Leila, Leila, Leila, they took Leila away. Leila Leila Leila, dark eyes, long hair, they took her (raised her) up” ... I’m guessing this girl he’s longing for has passed away which is why she was raised up
