Did it fix what was wrong with you, and you can always justify
Are you less, you ll have to take care of yourselves
are you less than
are you less than
Did it fix what was wrong with you, you ll have to take care of yourselves
Did it fix what was wrong with you, welcome oblivion
and offend and pretend and defend and demand my compliance
we didn t even notice
Are you less, you got what you asked for Less, your back was up against the wall again
did it fix what was wrong inside
You know i ve got my hands full, are you less than
you know i ve got my hands full
and you can always justify
you know i ve got my hands full
And look what you gone done, we didn t even notice Than, you got what you asked for
so what are you waiting for
So what are you waiting for, we didn t even notice
you got what you asked for
You ll have to take care of yourselves, we can barely recognize, welcome oblivion
so what are you waiting for
And look what you gone done, are you less Nails, you got what you asked for
what are you waiting for
we didn t even notice
Are you less than, you know i ve got my hands full Nine, are you less than
Welcome oblivion, and look what you gone done, you got what you asked for
You know i ve got my hands full, did it fix what was wrong inside
Look what you gone done, are you less than
Did it fix what was wrong inside, welcome oblivion, the missile trails across the sky again
are you less than
are you less than
are you less than
We can barely recognize, are you less than?
so what are you waiting for
you ll have to take care of yourselves
we awake in a place
Welcome oblivion, and you can justify it all
So what are you waiting for, are you less than?
and look what you gone done
we awake in a place
I'm 30 years old. I first heard nine inch nails in 1996 at the age of nine " I had a cool dad" he had the downward spiral album and used to blast it in his basement apartment. I can't believe I'm over 30, being nostalgic over a band my now 55 year old father exposed me to over 20 years ago. And I still love this band
LYRICS:
[Verse 1]
Focus?
We didn't even notice
We awake in a place we can barely recognize
Yeah, hypnosis
And you can justify it all
Your back is up against the wall again
Shut up, silence
Add a little violence
And offend and pretend and defend
And demand my compliance
And you can always justify
The missile trails across the sky again
[Chorus 1]
So what are you waiting for?
You got what you asked for
Did it fix what was wrong with you?
Are you less than?
Go and look what you've gone done
C'mon, welcome oblivion
Did it fix what was wrong with you?
Are you less than?
[Verse 2]
Needful
Too many fuckin' people
You'll have to take care of yourselves
Y'know I've got my hands full
And you can always justify
The missile trails across the sky again
[Chorus 2]
Go on, what are you waiting for?
You got what you asked for
Did it fix what was wrong with you?
Are you less than?
And look what you've gone done
Welcome oblivion
Did it fix what was wrong inside?
Are you less than?
[Chorus 3]
So what are you waiting for?
You got what you asked for
Did it fix what was wrong with you?
Are you less than? (Are you less than? Less than?)
Look what you've gone done
Well, welcome oblivion
Did it fix what was wrong inside?
Are you less than?
This is a song about how everyone has stockholm syndrome because you were brought to this world without your permission and forced to kill or die and how society wants to keep you ignorant to the true purpose of your teeth, since most people believe teeth are for smiling in selfies these days and are oblivious to the fact that we are all lost in space, since GPS and borders create this fantastical illusion that there just isn't anywhere else that exists besides America, and Uncle Sam is going to make you whole.
I don't know if Mr. Reznor gonna read this, but i just wanted to say that i'm from Saint-Petersburg, Russia, and Nine Inch Nails is my favorite band, i love all work you ever done, and i wanted to say Thank you, Mr. Reznor for everything you did, you've changed my life!
I've been a fan of NIN for 27 years. My favourite band. This is absolutely vintage. Trent Reznor sounds only like Trent Reznor. The man re-invented sound.
its very important for people to understand that nine inch nails has never been electronic enough, never metal enough, never exactly what you want..... its always been better than what you could ask for.... ---
