Oh, my! I remember so well the first time I saw "La Dolce Vita" back in my home country. I was probably not even 12 years old but I managed to sneak in by paying full adult fare since there were no half fares as nobody under 18 was suppose to be admitted. What an experience that was! I can still hear Anita Ekberg shouting "Marcello, Marcello..." I was awed and stunned by the beauty of the film and not the least offended by either the vocabulary and themes envisioned in Fellini's masterpiece. And, to this day, Steiner remains my favorite character in the film

By the way the picture represents Tamas Major, a great Hungarian actor (1910-1986). He does not even resemble Nino Rota. :)
