Takes me back to 1968 doing my homework. My mom always had the radio on an easily listening station. While doing my homework this song and other instrumentals popular at the time like Theme from a Summer Place, Theme from Dr. Zhivago would be playing.

"Love Is Blue" was released during the Winter of my senior year in High School, 1968. I bought the 45 rpm single, and listened to it over and over again. It was a refuge of beauty in that ugly political year that saw so much political sadness, assassination and death with Vietnam raging. Whenever I hear it, even now, in these new ugly times, it lifts my spirits.

Remember hearing this on the radio as kid in the 70's. It had a western cowboy sound to it I always thought. I grew up watching TV westerns like The Virginian, High Chaparral and No mans land. They all had a similar sounding theme song I thought. This is a great instrumental song.
