I was only a toddler in a play pen, when this beautiful instrumental song was out. But I can still recall my Mother humming in perfect pitch & swaying in time to it, whist ironing. The smell of anyone ironing takes me back to that innocent time..even to this day. Bless you Mum..I'll never forget.
I remember this song when I was a little boy. Now I'm 62. It take your mine back in time. It's like taking a flight to the peach moon. It's like clothes blowing on the clothe line smelling like a fresh linen scent. Thank you for the memories.
Of all the various versions of this musical piece , Percy Faith's version is my most preferred. I never get sick of listening to it. Feels nostalgic too!
This song takes me back to when I was a kid. I remember this playing on the radio, and most of all on my Dad and Mom’s Console Stereo on ORIGINAL 12” Vinyl LP. I remember the pride I had watching the two of them in so much love for each other, and as a child, I never could imagine them not being forever in my life. Unfortunately they are both gone now, and I still feel a void in my heart which time has never healed. Thank you so much for posting this song, and even more for the very fond memories of my childhood, and the proud memories of my Dad and Mom. Rest in Heaven, Earl Kurt Koehler (Dad) and Ethel Lorraine Koehler (Mom), your Son loves you both very much, and am very proud to have had such excellent parents as the two of you always were to our family!!
