Herbie Hancock tune. He is playing keys on this version also. Q charted Herbie's solo and layered strings on it.

This was the first Quincy Jones album I purchased with my own money while still in elementary school about to transition to Junior High. This project is amazing and still sounds good after nearly 40 years of its release via A&M records.. Love IT!!

This song was written by the incomparable Herbie Hancock. It is my all-time favorite Quincy Jones recording, featuring the late, great, Harry Lookofsky on violin(s).  I love the entire arrangement, Herbie's Rhodes work, and everything everyone contributes to Herbie's masterpiece. But it is what Harry Lookofsky does on those strings with Herbie's original piano solo that takes me to heaven! Believe it or not, Harry is actually playing ALL of the strings on this recording (12 tracks). I thought it was an entire string section at first, but I was pleasantly surprised to learn the story about Harry's exceptional work on this song from Q's autobiography.  Listening to Harry attack those strings makes me cry tears of joy when I hear this song. The amount of concentration to craft this piece is nothing short of genius. Thanks for posting this masterpiece! For me, this is Harry Lookofsky's greatest work, ever! Very well done Mr. Lookofsky! R.I.P....

The discipline and the spiritual high that Quincy's orchestra is on is outstanding, Jesus I am an English grad but I verbally can not not do this joint justice...words fail me

One of the Greatest pieces by two of the Masters Herbie and Quincy. This piece takes you on a musical sessions of exploring love for first time. Starts slow and builds to the point of explosion. I first heard this in 1978 while on assignment to Ft. Jackson SC. WWDM...Sumter SC would play this as drive music in the morning. Aphrodisiac- Mos Def
