I saw them 5 or 6 times in Montreal back in the days. I especially remember that tour that they gave with the Talking Heads and Blondie, playing on an outdoor stage at La Ronde amusement park. The story goes that the three bands decided at random who was gonna play first. That night the Ramones did and it was just great, just couldn't stop dancing all along the show. I remember another show at the Montreal Spectrum, where Dee Dee gave me one of his big white bass picks with Ramones printed on it. I was about 19 or 20 and I'm 54 now but I kept it to this day.
Some buddies and I randomly watched rock n roll high school like 8 years ago on a whim cause it was on Netflix. And then we watched it again. And again. And this song has been stuck in my head ever since. Definitely my favorite Ramones song.
One of the most underrated Ramones tunes...... love it in RnR HS when they are walking down the street playing this. RIP Joey, DeeDee, and especially Johnny.
I'm a Ramones fan from their first album. IMO, by far the best tune of their early years. I can remember jumping in my car to pick-up "Road To Ruin" the day it hit stores. My girlfriend called, I was through the roof listening to it. She informed me she didn't really like the Ramones. I broke up with her on the spot. My friends understood.
