Robert Farnon and His Orchestra - Journey Into Melody download song

I love the old beautiful music format that the radio stations used play. This was one piece they played back then.Robert Farnon was really great.

this was the theme song and the name of the show on Cleveland radio on Sunday mornings in the early 50's when you could only hear this type of music or religious programs until after 12 noon.  that was also when all the grocery stores and business were closed on Sunday because of the "Blue" laws. 

I think it was also the theme for movie presentations on one of the Cleveland TV stations in the 50s

In the ‘60s, my father would enter the house at exactly 6:00 PM every evening to the strains of “Journey Into Melody” as it opened the evening music program on WQXR, “the classical station of the New York Times,” as it was known in those days.

This was the theme song for the TV version of "One Man's Family" (1954-55).  

I used to hear this on the radio when I was about four. No wonder I turned out such a dreamer.
