Rosemary Clooney is still my favorite females singer. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman and talent galore. I'm a KY girl like her. She makes KY look sophisticated and that's not an easy thing to do.

This song was a favorite of Rosemary's. I have heard her say in many interviews that she begged Mitch Miller for permission to record this and he granted it as a payback for her agreeing to record so many Ross Bagdasarian novelties like Come On a My House, which she hated but made lots of money.

She could convey such emotion in her phrasing, and add to that a beautifully melodic voice-She was a truly amazing artist. Thank you for your kind words and support.

My mother used to hum the tune to me as a small child. It's a memory I'll cherish always. Goodbye Mom, goodbye Rosemary.

In "I Am Brian Wilson", Brian Wilson says this was the first song he really listened to. He said "I feel like I learned to sing from that song"

Her voice had a kind of saucy quality to it....one of her best songs.

I fell in love with Rosemary Clooney many years ago - she has a style which you just don't see or hear now. I get goosebumps when I hear her sing - simply wonderful! 

My dad's favorite song. I'm listening to this on what wouldve been his 85th birthday. He was my best friend and I know I'll see him again.

"Tenderly" was my dad's favorite song after he returned from the war, and Rosemary Clooney was his favorite singer, who released this version the year I was born. My mom played it on the piano.
