Exactly, just like post-hardcore. Bands like Fugazi, Glassjaw, Frodus, Drive Like Jehu, and Converge aren't exactly doing the exact thing as straight up hardcore punk, but it still came from hardcore and has more too it, sound wise. Post-metal is the same way, I just see it as heavy bands that like spacey, textural shoegaze/post-rock parts and ambient sections.

Slowly release revolve renew And I'm now the last of my kind Slipping in and out of this world By the grace of god we speak in tongues When the borrowed time is all I have Slip back This world a part of me from you By the grace of god we speak in tongues tonight With outstretched hands towards you Slowly reseed Give us your hands By the grace of god you saved us all By the ending of you Slowly reseed With tongues we speak this night Slowly reseed Heavenly descended Scatter the embers with your hands wide open Slowly reseed Scatter the ember With your hands wide open Scatter Scatter Scatter Scatter the ember

If TC ever toured with Rosetta, I would buy tickets for all of my friends. Twice.

I got sick and tired of listening to music few years earlier, that's when fate turned me towards the galilean satellites and its dual disk system. It was something out of this world, so creative and brilliant. Rosetta is the band that made me tune to creative music from the conventional one and I'm so glad for it. Rosetta thank you for bringing me back to what I loved so much... Life has never been the same since I heard you... And this is one of their best..

The emotional force with which the assault begins at 2:05 always catches me off-guard. Just brilliant.

Yesterday they played in Paris. Seriously, the live versions of all of their songs are better. Or on another level. I didn't like the anaesthete album for example, but hell, when played live, it kicked so much ass. Rosetta's probably one of the best bands I ever listened to.

For a BAND,they wont think much about "metal"or "post-metal". The origin wish they planned is just want to create the music that they pour their emotions into,no matter which style it is.

I'd like to take a moment to share my favorite band with you all. They're called The Contortionist, and they're heavily inspired by the same pioneers of atmospheric music which this band also seems to draw some of its musical threads from. Interestingly enough, a lot of people also call them "space-metal", which is a moniker I recall being used for Rosetta as well. Skip to 1:53 if desired: /watch?v=k2DMGThaVjs Enjoy ;-D

Rosetta is such a sci-fi end-of-the-universe sounding band. This could be the last sounding thing in the universe ever, and it would be okay.

Was searching for months for this, forgot the name of the band after my hard drive crashed, I'm so happy to hear this again, it's amazing!
