About 3 weeks ago, our Parish Priest gave a homily on just what you said; how Roy Rogers and Dale Evans exhibited class, pure class, and taught a whole generation of youth in manners, civility, and faith in God, doing right. Good observation cabbywest, and thank you Father David for speaking of your youth, and how Roy and Dale had an impact on you, and what's missing from modern youth and culture.

Roy Rogers the king of the cowboys, Saturday movies at the State Theater in old San Antone was a weekly pastime. Admission was 5 cents and everyone was complaining when they upped the price to 9 cents. LOL.

I used to ride the gravel trucks to Baltimore and then walk to the Belnord theater. My Aunt Ollie was the ticket seller and she'd give me employee passes. We only had to pay amysement tax. 3 cents
