because maybe you re gonna be the one that saves me and after all
today is gonna be the day that they re gonna throw it back to you
And all the lights that light the way are blinding, by now you should ve somehow realized
Backbeat the word was on the street, and all the lights that light the way are blinding, but i don t know how
I don t believe that anybody feels the way i do about you now, there are many things that i would like to say to you
There are many things that i would like to say to you, you re my wonderwall Adams, you re my wonderwall
But i don t know how, that the fire in your heart is out, i don t believe that anybody feels the way i do about you now
You re my wonderwall, but i don t know how
And all the lights that light the way are blinding, i don t believe that anybody feels the way i do about you now
and all the roads we have to walk are winding
today is gonna be the day that they re gonna throw it back to you
There are many things that i would like to say to you, there are many things that i would like to say to you, you re my wonderwall
but i don t know how
I m sure you ve heard it all before but you never really had a doubt, i don t believe that anybody feels the way i do about you now, that the fire in your heart is out
Because maybe you re gonna be the one that saves me and after all, but i don t know how
But i don t know how, you re my wonderwall
Backbeat the word was on the street, and all the lights that lead us there are blinding
What you re not to do, today is gonna be the day that they re gonna throw it back to you, i don t believe that anybody feels the way i do about you now
and all the roads that lead you there were winding
Today was gonna be the day but they ll never throw it back to you, there are many things that i would like to say to you, there are many things that i would like to say to you
I m sure you ve heard it all before but you never really had a doubt, i don t believe that anybody feels the way i do about you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding, but i don t know how
But i don t know how, there are many things that i would like to say to you, but i don t know how
But i don t know how, i said maybe you re gonna be the one who saves me and after all
There are many things that i would like to say to you, you re my wonderwall
And all the roads that lead you there were winding, but i don t know how
There are many things that i would like to say to you, i m sure you ve heard it all before but you never really had a doubt, you re my wonderwall
but i don t know how
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding, there are many things that i would like to say to you
That the fire in your heart is out, because maybe you re gonna be the one that saves me and after all
I used to like the original but it got too overplayed and I began hating it but this cover makes me love it again. Idk why. It's not 'better than the original' because without the original there wouldn't be this cover anyway. There's just something in this cover that's hauntingly sad and more beautiful than the original. For me, anyway.
The chorus of this version leaves me so speechless, I don't understand how you can hear so much emotion pouring out of Adams' voice. The instruments really compliment his voice, too. Equally as good as the original, the only cover that can be compared.
I grew up with Oasis and I must admit when I heard this on the radio within two seconds I thought, who dares to cover this song. I let it play out and was genuinely very impressed with this cover, it has a lovely flow. The Gallagher brothers are as stubborn as they come, so for them to authorize this they must have been mightily impressed, as am I. Peace X
This version just locks you in and for the 4 minutes all you can hear is the voice.. the cover is so good that even if someone was sitting next to me talking, I wouldn't hear them for being in my own little world with the song. Mesmerizing.
Beautifully and masterfully done. This version brings an incredibly different and unique sense of warmth to the song.
Noel Gallagher commented on this version in an article and said, “I went to see Ryan Adams in Manchester… So he’s playing away and he just does ‘Wonderwall’ right in the middle of the set. The fucking place went silent. It was so beautiful. I was just like, ‘Fucking Jesus Christ what a fucking song!’ Afterwards, I told him, ‘You can have that song, man, because we could never quite get it right.’
I love both versions and I usually hate remakes, but I do prefer this one.
