Sonny Stitt - I didn't know what Time it was download song

I have this on a 45 rpm single, bought when I was a kid in the sixties. Classic bebop, so balanced.

I was listening to my favorite college radio station and knew immediately it was Mr. Stitt So nice!

Sonny Stitt had his own style was playing that way and had never heard of Bird at the time. Even Bird told Sonny after first hearing him on alto saxophone you sound like me.

Yeah me too, I drink to forget! Lady Stitt is outstanding as usual! I am reminded that Mingus wrote "If Bird was a Gunslinger" (There would be lots of dead Copy Cats Reed Players!)

Thank you for this gem of a record ! Thats a top notch rhytm section, but what really astounds me is the way Shadow Wilson makes the whole band swing so hard just with his ride cymbal !!! Sonny aint bad either.

STITT! As quiet as it kept, this was a AMERICAN JAZZ MASTER! Original! Prolific recording artist for over 30 years, up until his death, ALL GOOD! Every bit of Stitt! ...Peace.
