Dear God what a source of frustration. Amazing playing - agreed. At the same time, it sure would have sounded better and more enjoyable to listen to if the damned snare was louder in the mix. Or, it has a gate on it that is too "gated" - as it sure would have been better if we could hear the ghost / grace notes. It is such a huge part of the effectiveness of the Groove.

Ever since I saw this performance when it came out, have always said that Steve deserved special recognition for playing this great on such a woobly drum riser!
