Oh once in a while
I learn how to smile
Horses shadows and rain on stone
No god here I'm sure
This must be the cure
For all this carrion and aimless drift
Retreat from the begging
And invites to the wedding
Revelation means nothing here
In time we forget our
Need to devour
All the stories of tortured souls
Crawl into your arms
Become the night forever
Coiled and close, the moment froze
Deform to form a star
Here on earth together
I got time to share and a well used stare
This smile isn't pure
Certain or sure
Cold precision was never there
The way we uncoil
Return to the soil
Flaws are everything and chaos reigns
I can't stay a night without listening to Steven Wilson and this song especially!! The breaks and the interludes in this song are amazingly soothing to listen to :)
When the song started, I thought I was going to hear 'in the end' by linkin park.
Fortunately that wasn't the case and this song is an incredible masterpiece.
I don't know whether to call Wilson a "songwriter" or a "composer", but he's one of the best working today. This song is just masterful in conception, structure, and detail.
The deformation/formation of oneself is such a violent event as it is beautiful, that always ends on a peaceful silence... It is, by it's own right, an artistic process. By so, it will create images that don't fade, sounds that don't dissipate and words that can't be forgotten. We are not only a part of this Universe, we are the Universe itself trying to be understood... The chaos troughout all the Cosmos is resolved by motion and attraction. Knowing that, we should resolve the chaos on our minds by keep moving forward and love all that exists, especially life and ourselves. Love is for all life what gravity is for all the Cosmos.
