Blistering guitar work. Some nights only Stevie Ray will do...

I love this song. Makes me proud to be from Dallas, Texas (like Stevie). Interesting note: when Stevie was still relatively unknown, he was playing in Paris, France. From what I've heard, most performing musicians don't hang out listening to other performers do their show. But Eric Clapton was fascinated by Stevie and stayed to watch the whole show.

Only 400 000 views for one of the best musicians in guitar history? Considering Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" video got 340 million, this is clearly a reflection of how much society's idea of what constitutes "good" music has changed...Never fails to astound me. Long live SRV.

I didn't think I'd ever see anyone cooler than Hendrix wielding a stratocaster. But along came Stevie ray Vaughan to prove me wrong.

You can't change it Can't re-arrange it If time is all that we got Then baby let's take it Lovin' is a lovin' The moment is a-right It's worth all the years in the past Let's go one more night Get away from the blind side of life Honey I want you to be by my side Me and my back door moves ain't no more No more Get away from the blind side of life Honey I want you to be by my side Me and my back door moves ain't no more No more Get away from the blind side of life Honey I want you to be by my side Me and my back door moves ain't no more No more Goodnight my darlin' Another day has passed Forget all those painful memories Our love's gonna last Come to me baby Come to me one more time It's time we got movin' Time to move on Let's slide out the door Let's slide out the door Ride our way home Let's glide our way home Let's go Let's go Let's go Let's go Let's go Let's go I've come back for more

It is in this song that Stevie Ray’s seemingly effortless Texas honeyed voice wraps one up in a rarest ebullience . . . Never tire of this song.

I'll be damned, this is my cousin Pat's old bar. I never knew they did this there. Building doesn't exist now though, such a shame...
