Typical of the silly pop songs that were a feature of the late 50s , but fun to listen to at the time.

The seven little girls are children, and Fred is their dog. Sheesh, people.

This original version is great but I still prefer The Lana Sisters & Al Saxon's version which came out later that same year in 1959 - They slightly improved the melody and the backing vocals are stronger - Also, Dusty Springfield is on the track!! Enjoy

That must've been a massive backseat, or they were very small girls. 1959 was, of course, before the days of compulsory seatbelt wearing and Operation Yewtree.
