I’m hidden from you, my lifeless youth
Yet I was born close to the black gold
Here us weak things die by famine
And plagues you forgot about for centuries
Greed for oil, greed for more !
Sure you thought of protecting us
I was born in Iraq, died at the age of three
And my finger points at the blockade meant to free me
My skinned bones still point at your silent faces
Great to see that these guys are as good as ever. Ian would be proud. Derek the draw is the perfect choice to carry his torch, although you could never really replace Ian Dury. He was a genius.
Not bad at all- haven't really followed since Ian left us. Still love the way the bass rolls around. Also i reckon Derek The Draw is the first man to come close to filling Ian's bloody big boots. Am going to pick up the CD ASAP
