As much as i tried to avoid it, this shift in normalcy has taken its toll. I spend over a decade sharpening my trade. Thousands of hours, sweat, tears, dreams. All to be wiped away faster than the fed could turn on the printers. As i question how essential i am, i broke down and found comfort in a small batch whiskey. Then i come across this song and it gave me new found inspiration. Sometimes we find rebirth in the ashes, thank god for music
apologies for the intrusion, but I, JoJo fan, am here to give my condolences to a special italian man named Leone Abbacchio. And his stand, the infamous Moody Blues
Nights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I've written
Never meaning to send
Beauty I'd always missed
With these eyes before
Just what the truth is
I can't say any more
'Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you
Gazing at people, some hand in hand
Just what I'm going through they can't understand
Some try to tell me, thoughts they cannot defend
Just what you want to be, you will be in the end
And I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you
Oh how I love you
Nights in white satin
Never reaching the end
Letters I've written
Never meaning to send
Beauty I've always missed
With these eyes before
Just what the truth is
I can't say any more
'Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you
Oh how I love you
'Cause I love you
Yes I love you
Oh how I love you
Oh how I love you
Told my true first love that I loved her listening to this song.
She looked into my eyes and told me she loved me to.
25 years later with two wonderful children I still love her as if it was yesterday.
I was going out with a girl I desperately wanted to marry in 1981, having known her for 3 years as a friend, and I listened to this a lot.
We now have 3 great kids aged 26, 19 and 16 are planning my retirement touring Europe.
I cry tears of joy when I hear this.
Something about the music from this era is just mesmerizing and great! America being torn apart by war, brave warriors dying, yet we could still make music and know we are a strong, FREE country.
I will never forget this song. It means a lot to me. I was stationed in Vietnam and remember writing letters but never sent them to my family because of the horrors written on them. Every time i listen to this i remember Vietnam and when i was there i was thinking about home.
Having grown up in the 70s, I’ve come to see how spoiled we were, amazing quality and quantity of great music from that decade. With today’s major decline in music quality, I’ve come to cherish and revere the great artists of that time.
