I thought so too, until I heard Spooky Tooth's cover on their first album. (In the U.S., in fact, the album was called "Tobacco Road.") But the Magoos' version is good clean trashy fun . . .

Call outs to other versions are missing the point of the Magoos' - classic Garage-trashy, a little goofy while ridiculously intense - not an easy balance to reach, btw - this is the one to lose your mind to!
