Sorry you didin't get past the ad, TomTenCrew. Yeah, that crap sux! If you'd listened to the Yardbirds you'd heard some sweet slide and tame timeless blues. I still have my vinyl of The Jeff Beck Group w/ Stewart on vocals (great blues voice) and have worn out or lost several CDs. Beck's a bad boy on that axe. Clapton was accepting an award one time and said thanks but, this should go to Jeff Beck
Jeff Beck is one of the greatest guitarist of all time. The first time I heard the song Going Down(on The Jeff Beck Group album.on 8 track,no less)I went out and bought the album the next day.
Fantastic, brings back memories of the sixties. I have "Heartfull of Soul" and this is the B side. My single is very scratched and crackly, worn out, so I can hear it clearer on here! Always preferred this to the A side!
Saw Jeff Beck in '68 when he brought The Jeff Beck Group to, of all places, Alexandria, Virginia at the old roller rink. They were the warm-up band for Big Brother and the Holding Company with Janis Joplin. Beck was amazing to listen to and his new singer, Rod Stewart, wasn't bad, at all. Beck, at one point, was doing barnyard animals on guitar. He was right good with the Yardbirds and I still enjoy listening to that music. Ah, memories.
Incredibly and bluesy played by the brilliant Jeff Beck. Thanks Jeff! Then there's Keith Relf's harp playing. Wow blow me over. He could make that harp sing and he has the blues running through his veins. RIP Keith Relf.
This is so good!!! No wah, Jeff uses his tone control on his Tele, I reckon. Beautiful stuff and slide playing as well! I had more of these tracks years ago on a Charly LP of Yardbirds tracks recorded in Chicago, I think. This stuff is quality R&B.
