Vera Lynn - The White Cliffs of Dover download song

Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn? Remember how she said that we would meet again, some sunny day. Vera! Vera! What has become of you? Does anybody else in here feel the way I do?

I was born after the war.  Somehow I like songs that helped our troops  morale. I wish I could appreciate the same music today instead of all that screaming.

Thanks to all the brave men and women who fought for freedom in WWII.  May they RIP.   Please Lord, don't let history repeat itself.

My father, who spent his boyhood in England during the war, loved Vera Lynn, especially this song. It was playing as he lay dying.

"There'll be peace ever after" sad that after over half a century later we still do not have peace and there is still conflict. After all the bloodshed of the first and Second World War, husbands and sons and fathers who never came home and we are still fighting. When will they learn.

This will always be remembered as the song that brought hope to the UK during WWII during its darkest hours. Thank you, Dame Vera.

This spectacular woman is now 100 years old and going strong. This nation will fall apart if anything happened to her

My Grandad was in Burma in the later part of WW2.Vera Lynn sang to him and the trops out there.He never  forgot that.

Brings tears to my eyes. Beyond beautiful..

Vera Lynn Welch, i still love you, for the joye you did bring to our Allied forces to liberate Europe from the terrible Agressor who killed many innocent lives. Thank you for that, because, without the Allied, i maybe would not be born. I pay my respect to those who gave their lives, to freedom my family and others., but also you, YOU were the drive into many hearts to bring these young and old soldiers to fight for anothers freedom, without recontribution. I love you still, and many others do !

Have always loves that lady. Her singing is so haunting. I am now 76 years old had loved her singing since I was a teenager

It boggles the mind...........We faced and defeated two of the most powerful military's on earth, (Germany-Japan), in only 6 years!..................Now we have a pack of Jihadis running circles around us for more than 10 years! It makes me sick!

As a teenager I wondered why my dad would shed a tear when he saw this lady. 50 years hence I share his sentiments and realise just how much Miss Lynn must have boosted the troops morale.
