I still laugh at this song for when I was 6 or 7 years old me and my cousins always thought they were singing Who's always pooping in the hall and we would roll on the ground with laughter so hard that we thought our guts would bust! Love the memories!
When i was about 4 (mid 70's), we had a stand alone record player and maybe 15 or so 45's in a metal fliptop case. This and Yakety Yak were our favorites (we loved the Peanuts cartoon too). On rainy days especially, we would play records and dance around. Glad this stuff is preserved digitally, cuz our records are long gone
My dad and I used to do a skit to this back then, where we entertained the others in the tv room. I turned nine and my mother took a couple of pictures of me in very checkered clothing, walking into the kitchen, snapping fingers and doing the routine with dad before I blew out the candles. Of course, he did the low parts. Thanks dad, for that memory. You died a long time ago, but we miss you like it was yesterday.
That sounded like the school I went to. We had several Charlie Browns in my school. Richie, Russ & Johnny, sorry no last names. LOL They know who they were. LOL
MY CHILDHOOD! Me and my sister could not have breakfast without listening to this song with my dad. Best memories of my life :) My dad had the best 'Why's everybody always picking on me?'
