I remember playing in the basement while my mom would do laundry and she would play this album. We would always dance to this song. She passed in August and now I play this song wishing she was here to dance with me one more time!!! For The Good Times
I remember when I was a little girl my mom would play this over and over tears would flow down her pretty face and i would wonder why she cried i am sixty two now and i wish that she was here so I could say I get it now.
I went to visit my sister in hospital when she was diagnosed with Cancer. I have loads of medical problems and my sister said "get in the bed with me" so I climbed out of my wheelchair and got in the bed with her and then she pressed the emergency bell. nurses came running and she mearly said "My sister needs a pillow." Al green was her fav's so this song means a lot to me.

Took the young women I was spending most of my time with at the time to Al Green concert in Philadelphia, PA, U.S.A., around 1972. He was great, we had "good times," and the young lady and I will be married 45 years this May 2019.
When I was a child every Saturday morning my mother would play this along with the floaters, Manhattan's and other like Sam Cooke , Otis Redding. Now I'm 48yrs ols and every Saturday this music is what i play when cleaning....unfortunately when my children hear it they get ghost...lol cause they know it's cleaning time...
When I was 19 I called home and my dad answered and he gently started signing this song to me. At the time I thought it was so sweet. A few days later he had a cardiac arrest and went into a coma, I called for an ambulance to take us to the hospital, he never came home. That was 40 years ago, he must of known something wasn't right. I miss him like it was yesterday. I love you Daddy. xxxooo
I can remember these nights where I would sit in the basement as a small child while the room filled with laughs and cigarette smoke while all the adults would drink and spend time together to oldies like this.. as I grew older I watched everyone pass one by one.. it’s 2019 and I’m bumping this classic in memory of all my true friends. For the good times !
