Crazy mama, where you been so long?
Crazy mama, where you been so long?
You’ve been hiding out, I know that’s true
Crazy mama, I sure need you
Crazy mama, where you been so long?
Standing on the corner, looking for you, babe
Standing on the corner, looking for you, babe
Lord mercy, I can not see, crazy mama coming back to me

I grew up as a farm boy in Australia.. didn't get my flares....didn't get my long hair...isolated...worked too hard...but I had my Naturally album ..... none of that other shit mattered...yeah mmmmm call me the breeze anytime
Short lived on the airwaves but made a permanent impression in my memory. Awesome tune from the early seventies. Perhaps one of the best wah wah classics ever.
It was a long time ago. Sitting in a friends place. The wailing strains of "Crazy Mama" cut through the atmosphere and immediately created a new one. From that moment on JJ Cale was part of my life. I'd not heard this music before but instantly knew it, loved it and needed it.
My hope is that someone somewhere sitting with friends and is moved in the same way when they hear some song or guitar lick that they simply can't resist.
R.I.P. JJ Cale............. long live the legacy.
