, old school forever The Iceman Jerry Butler
An oldie but goodie. I was a young Miss when Jerry recorded this one back in the '60's. Fast forward to 2010 a guy on Lenox Avenue (Malcolm X Blvd.) and 134th St. was making and selling CD's of the oldies and when I heard that old familiar sound, I had to get it. I always liked Jerry Butler's music and there was something about that particular song , the lyrics, the horns, the chimes, that smooth groove that really moved me, still does!
Once again Mr. jerry Butler nails another tune, with his touch of self assured soul felt from the heart. One of many tunes Jerry nailed during his career. Thank you Mr. Jerry Butler....peace
The ICE MAN! I was blessed to see him perform twice back in 2008 in Philly at the Liacore center and in 2011 at the Harrahs casino in Chester Pennsylvania. I was probably the youngest person there.. but I grew up listening to oldies because that's all I would hear around the house. He also sent me an autograph photo of him in 2008! I will always love and cherish his music!
