I think I was there when Jethro and Ian were introduced. Funny that some didn't know the difference. ;)

Ian and the band are great here. I saw them in Montreal mid 1970s and they were as good as it gets they were huge then. I still have their LP I bought in the 1970s.

It was so nice of this rock band to adopt the ragged, time travelling, flute waving medieval bard

I just loved this band back in the glorious sixties and 70s and still do. The years do not diminish them.

"Mom, I want to be a rock star." "No Ian, your dad and I want you to take flute lessons." "Have it your way mom"

Back in the 70's I once had a girlfriend who was a huge Jethro Tull fan and had a crush on Ian Anderson; I still loved her though, because she had a striking resemblance to Stevie Nicks...

As a teenager in the 70's , "Tull" was known by all the kids that appreciated real music. Not so much by the top forty nonsense groupies. That being said , this band is and always will be a legend. Anderson and the band were so talented and and their uniqueness will never be duplicated. To this day, I have never heard anything remotely like them. All you have to say is "Tull," and everyone gives you an awe in admiration.

Mom heard me listening to the hare who lost his spectacles and was sure I had lost my mind listening to nursery rhymes.

Ian Anderson always reminded me of a crazed Renaissances man from the 1400s who transported himself through time into a rock band.

I've never seen some one who looks so much like a homeless crazy man but rocks as hard as Ian Anderson does
