I can remember first hearing this one in my teens and I loved it way beck than so much so that I remembered by heart and sing right along with Jimmie Rodgers. I still love this song and I will always, always for a million yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrs!
I don't know what is wrong with me but I listen very much differend music. Mostly I listen Heavy metal, rock, punk, rap and stuff like that but like few times in a week I love this kind of music and listen this, beethooven, frank sinatra and other old but gold -music. I really sometimes this in the same playlist with Slipknot and other that kind of music
i have one good memory of Mr. Rodgers. My brother met him way back in 1959 and played golf with him at a little course down around Camas. I was their mule that day, I lugged two bags around that course and made a whole 5 dollars. Brothers are mean sometimes. lol
This is so good. My brother, who's a generation older than me, used to play this from his vinyl collection when I was a tiny thing. I could barely walk but he would carry me and dance round the room - lovely memory. They should play these more often on the radio so that new generations can enjoy actually hearing the words unlike the shrieking, trilling that purports to be music these days. I put the blame on tv singing contests which churn out the same old, same old. Nothing's different. Tyfs. have subscribed so I can listen to more.
