It s so bizarre, couldn t take his eyes of joe and me
It s so bizarre, we keep it coming in the family
And we all have our daddy s eyes, cause we all have our daddy s eyes 42, it s so bizarre
With joseph and emily, like a dream within a dream 42, looking back
We d be crumbling, with joseph and emily
And we all have our daddy s eyes, it s so bizarre In, he d be the voice of doom
we only see so far
my brother joe and me
we only see so far
running from the past
Looking back, it s so bizarre Running, cause we all have our daddy s eyes
Dad rang the officer in charge, we d be crumbling
we only see so far
on the back seat of the car
Dad rang the officer in charge, on the back seat of the car
on the back seat of the car
And in the station, with joseph and emily, all the things we are
Looking back, were picked up on the beat, with joseph and emily
On the back seat of the car, but by eight o clock
From things that we were born to be, all the things we are In, were picked up on the beat
Running in the family, like a dream within a dream In, like a dream within a dream
He barely fit his circumstances, it runs in the family, we only see so far
Cause we all have our daddy s eyes, a man so large
it runs in the family
daddy driving home
With joseph and emily, it s so bizarre Level, dad rang the officer in charge
Though we knew it couldn t last, and in the station
One time when I was 9 years old we went on a holiday from Holland to Hungary, we only had one cassette for our radio and it was from Level 42. We drove about 15 hours straight, through forests, past towns and across mountains... I remember I saw fields full of sunflowers from the backseat of the car, with a sleeping bag. Level 42 was the soundtrack of that holiday, still playing in my head ever since
Excellent sound. And hey, I kinda like seeing the lyrics. Reminds me about when I was a kid, reading the lyrics on the vinylsleaves while listening to music. Thnx for uploading !
I've been finding myself returning to older songs (including bands I've never listened to), I mean listen to the lyrics, they actually tell a story, it's a breath of fresh air than the stagnant, artificial crap we hear these days. Yeah, they can be catchy but when you actually stop to listen to those lyrics, you realize quickly how shallow and lazy they're actually written. It ruins the song dramatically. HERE though, you can sit back and relate, listen to it and have a great time.
